Hellenic Home for the Aged Inc., a not-for-profit campus of care which provides multiple services at various locations within the Greater Toronto Area is currently seeking a passionate Dietary Services Manager with excellent leadership, communication, and customer service skills, to work collaboratively with the Administrators, and the driven resident care team to provide an exceptional level of quality care to our seniors.

  • Prepare and supervise the preparation and service of meals and nourishment’s following specified menus and standardized recipes.
  • Ensures all residents nutritional care needs are met by conducting nutritional screening at admission, quarterly; and annually, monitoring resident diets.
  • Selects, orientates, supervises, delegates tasks, disciplines, and evaluates the performance of the Dietary staff.
  • Ensure compliance with all Long-Term Care regulations and established policies.
  • Conduct daily inspection of the department to identify/resolve any potential hazards.
  • Responsible for purchasing, receiving, and controlling all departmental supplies, which includes inventory controls.
  • Continued monitoring and ongoing documentation of low and moderate risk resident’s nutritional status at a minimum of quarterly.
  • Ensure maintenance of operational records (i.e. menus, production sheets, food temperatures and refrigerator and freezer temperatures).
  • Oversees catering services for all scheduled facility functions.
  • Ensure dietary staff compliance with facility policies and procedures, including safety and sanitation rules and safe working practices.
  • Leads the Dietary Services Departments Continuous Quality Improvement projects within the facility.
  • Completing employee scheduling, and payroll.
  • Conducts ongoing evaluation with Resident Food committee to meet resident’s satisfaction and individual needs.
  • Develops resident care plans with appropriate goals and interventions.
