Adult Day Program
The Adult Day Program was established in 2007 through funding from the Ministry of Health and Long Term Care to benefit elderly adults living in our community with disabilities or cognitive impairment. Our program provides cognitive and social stimulation, assistance with activities of daily living, as well as caregiver relief. Our programs and activities support clients in maintaining their maximum level of functioning and in achieving independent living with dignity. Services include hot nutritious meals, refreshments and snacks as well as personal care and medication reminding. Families and caregivers can have the peace of mind that their loved ones are in a safe environment attended to by well-trained staff who promote a sense of well-being for all clients in a culturally sensitive setting. The Adult Day Program is accredited by CARF International.
The Hellenic Home follows the Gentle Care Philosophy:
Every individual is a unique and special human being. Programs are developed with the knowledge of the functional capabilities of each client and to support the individual’s values, strengths, desires and needs. Assistance and therapeutic interventions are designed to support the person by compensating for their physical or cognitive limitations.
